Peripheral Vascular Disease
Marous Center for Vascular Disease

Interventional radiologist Paul Kiproff, M.D. (L), and cardio- vascular surgeon Daniel Benckart, M.D., (R), collaborate on plans for an endovascular repair of an abdominal aneurysm.

Vascular disease encompasses any condition that affects the circulatory system — ranging from diseases of the arteries, veins and lymph vessels to blood disorders that hinder circulation. Physicians in Allegheny General’s Marous Center for Vascular
Disease are skilled in diagnosing and treating all forms of vascular disease.

The center sets itself apart by utilizing a multidisciplinary approach. Specialists from vascular surgery, vascular medicine, interventional radiology and cardiology all work together to provide the patient with a cohesive, integrated treatment plan. The hospital also participates in clinical research, helping chart new territory in the surgical treatment of vascular disease.

In addition, the center includes a dedicated peripheral vascular lab for the diagnosis of peripheral disease.
